The hotel and room were really nice, clean and stylish. I would definitely recommend staying here IF you have some sort of “business” in Newark (e.g. an event at Prudential, which is within walking distance). Newark is not exactly what I would call a “charming” town, and the general area is a bit sketchy. The staff were not particularly friendly (but from what I hear, that’s Jersey for you…), though they DID answer any question I had (they just make you feel that you need to be “apologetic” for “bothering” them…). Major plus - the cleaning crew came daily and even restocked shampoo/ shower gel, etc. Another major plus- the hotel has a shuttle that will take you to Penn Station (Newark). I would definitely stay here again if I came to the area, though it’s a shame that Newark isn’t exploiting its top strategic location close to Manhattan (20-minute Amtrak ride!!) and “cleaning up” the town a bit.

The free shuttle service from EWR to the hotel was easy to find after our long flight. Our driver was helpful and informative about the local area. We arrived a little before the scheduled check in time however they were able to accommodate an early check in. The room was spacious, bright and comfortable with a huge bathroom and shower. I was delighted to find complimentary coffee and water, a much needed pick me up before we headed out to explore. We timed it just right to catch the happy hour in the bar where we experienced yet more Trypp Hospitality from the friendly staff. A great start to our first time in Newark!

Great location, super stylish hotel. Staff were super helpful (shout out to Scarlet, Nicole, Juan and Steven!!) Scarlet and Nicole especially were so kind and accommodating when I asked for early check in after a looooong night at the airport. They got me in as soon as possible (which I completely didn't expect...I was in a clean, made up room by NINE!!) and came to get me to let me know while I was eating breakfast. Honestly such a blessing after a stressful airport experience. Couldn't be more pleased with my experience.

The hotel was within walking distance (about 10-15 minutes) to the Prudential Center as we were going to a NJ Devils hockey game. The room was clean, large, and had a beautiful view of NYC. The staff were very friendly and helpful explaining their parking policy, advising that we could walk to the game instead of paying for parking at the event. Checkout is at noon which was very helpful as I had to work a 1/2 day and was able to stay in the room.

Adequate queen room. Was supposed to be a king - had booked 2 months ahead for grandson grad at NJIT. Upon arrival the clerk's room list had the hotel sold out. For the next 25 min's she juggled incoming calls while explaining that early person had assigned all the rooms, not knowing if there would be no shows. Good shower tho my wife would've liked conditioner, rather than shampoo "combo." The small bed was not comfortable.
